The story of Maxim Services and Engineering, started with a family man, businessman, and engineering expert – Tertius Buys, who in an initial partnership, bought GEGA in 2019.

Always the visionary, GEGA, later under the sole ownership of Tertius Buys, evolved from being only an agency of GEGA Germany, specializing in a niche market, to also offering heavy engineering services to a growing clientele.

Tertius is known for his expertise in engineering, but also for his kindness, love for people, the focused development of his people, excellent customer service and his open hand and heart for people in need.

Due to Covid-19, Tertius passed-on in July 2021. As can be expected, it came as a huge shock to his family, business personnel as well as his loyal clientele. Everything changed. Tertius’s wife, Corné Buys, is the sole heir of the business.

A new strategy was developed, leading to the rebranding and renaming of the company to Maxim Services and Engineering. Corné Buys assumed the position of managing director as of October 1, 2023.

Building on the vision, values, and legacy of the founder, Tertius Buys, an impactful business future, with an extra-ordinary value proposition for its market, is envisioned for Maxim Services and Engineering.
